Your Sauna, Your Way — Designed in the Browser
Every sauna we build at Sisu Sauna is custom-made. There are no fixed, off-the-shelf boxes — just your dimensions, your wood choice, your heater, and your layout. To make that process as straightforward as possible, we built a 3D designer that lets you see exactly what you're getting and get a live price as you go. This guide walks you through how to use it and what happens after you save your design.
Step 1 — Open the Designer and Choose a Starting Point
Head to the 3D designer. You'll see our three sauna families — Fah, Narak, and Barrel. Each is a popular starting shape, but every dimension can be changed completely. Think of them as a blank canvas with a sensible default, not a fixed product.

Step 2 — Set Your Size
Use the dimension controls to enter the internal floor area and height that work for your space. If your sauna will sit inside an existing room, remember you'll need at least 25 mm of clearance around the structure for ventilation. For outdoor builds, we'll confirm the exact footprint and clearances with a site plan once your order is confirmed.
The price updates in real time as you adjust the size, so you can immediately see the cost difference between, say, a compact two-person cabin and a larger four-person room.
Step 3 — Pick Your Wood
We build in three woods, and you can switch between them in the designer to see both the look and the price difference:
Thai domestic teak — dense, naturally weather-resistant, and our top recommendation for any outdoor exterior. Needs oiling once or twice a year.
Canadian red cedar — lighter, beautifully aromatic, and dimensionally stable. A classic choice for interior cladding.
Russian pine — our most affordable option. For outdoor exterior applications, we char the surface using the yakisugi (shou sugi ban) technique to protect against moisture, insects and UV.
Step 4 — Choose Your Heater
Select the heater that matches your room size. Most builds from 3–9 kW run on a standard single-phase supply, so there's no need for special wiring in most homes. Only heaters above 9 kW require three-phase. The designer shows the exact electrical load for your chosen heater, so you know what to tell your electrician before installation day.
Step 5 — Add Glass, Layout and Extras
Adjust the glass panel configuration, bench layout, door position and any accessories you'd like included. Each change updates the 3D view so you can rotate and check the design from every angle before you commit to anything.
Step 6 — Save Your Design
When you're happy — or even just close — hit Save. This is the most important step. Saving sends your design to our team with all the specifications attached: dimensions, wood, heater, electrical load, and layout. You'll also receive a summary to your email for your own records.
You don't need a perfect design to save. If you're unsure about a detail, save what you have and add a note — we review every saved design personally and will reach out to clarify anything before we quote.
What Happens After You Save
Here's the full journey from saved design to finished sauna:
We review your design — our team looks at every saved build, checks the specs make sense for your space, and may suggest small adjustments (ventilation, heater sizing, outdoor cladding choice, etc.).
We agree the final spec with you — we'll contact you by email, LINE or WhatsApp to confirm or refine the design together. Nothing moves forward until you're happy.
We send a formal quote — valid for 14 days, in writing, with every detail confirmed. No verbal promises — everything is on paper.
You pay a 50% deposit — once you confirm the quote and the deposit lands, production begins. Lead time for custom saunas is 35–50 days from this point. Please note: the deposit is non-refundable once we've started building.
Follow your build in the portal — you can track progress through our customer portal as your sauna comes together in the workshop.
Pay the remaining 50% before delivery — the balance is due before we dispatch. Nothing ships until it's fully paid.
Delivery and installation — within Thailand we offer full installation, with the heater wired and a first heat-up done with you on site. International orders are delivered as a kit with an interactive installation manual built specifically for your sauna.
