After Each Use

Wipe down benches with a damp cloth to prevent staining from sweat and body oils. Leave the door open and ventilation running for at least 30 minutes to air out the sauna thoroughly.

Monthly

Clean interior surfaces with mild soap and warm water — avoid harsh chemicals. Inspect heater stones for cracking and rearrange any that have shifted to ensure good airflow.

Every 6–12 Months

Apply a natural, food-safe timber oil to exterior surfaces (outdoor saunas). Indoor saunas generally need oiling every 12–18 months. Never use varnish or paint inside the sauna.

Annually

Check door seals for wear — good seals are important for heat retention. Inspect heater stones and replace any that show significant cracking or have reduced in size. Sand down any stubborn stains on bench surfaces if needed.

How quickly does the sauna heat up?

Most residential saunas reach 80–90°C within 30–45 minutes, depending on heater size and room volume.

Do I need to hire an installation team?

Not necessarily. Our saunas are delivered in modular panels with detailed assembly instructions. Around 80% of our customers use a local handyman or a team of 2–3 people. We offer phone and video call support throughout.

Can I install the sauna outdoors?

Yes. All our saunas are suitable for outdoor installation — covered or fully exposed. We use weather-resistant timber treatments, UV-protective finishes, and corrosion-resistant fasteners designed for Thailand's climate.

What electrical supply do I need?

All heaters run on 220–240V. Single phase is available up to 12kW. Heaters above 12kW require three-phase power. Specific requirements are listed in the specifications above. A qualified electrician must complete the connection.

How much does it cost to run per month?

A 1-hour session on a 6kW heater uses approximately 6 units of electricity, costing around ฿40–50. At 3–4 sessions per week, monthly costs are approximately ฿640–800 — similar to running an air conditioner.

What warranty do you offer?

2-year structural warranty on timber, frame, and construction. 1-year warranty on heater and electrical components. Replacement parts and heaters are always available.

Do Finnish saunas work in Thailand's humid climate?

Absolutely. Our saunas are engineered for tropical conditions with enhanced ventilation and weather-resistant treatments. The dry heat inside provides a refreshing contrast to Thailand's humidity.

The Fah Sauna Diagrams

Fah meets the sky.

In Thai, Fah (ฟ้า, pronounced fáː) commonly means "sky," "heaven," or "firmament". It is a very popular, simple, and elegant name for females, often associated with vastness, freedom, or used in phrases for colors, such as see-fah (สีฟ้า) for light blue like the sky.

What makes Sisu different?

Unlike most sauna companies, we build ours right here in Thailand with our talented team of Thai carpenters, overseen by our Finnish sauna guru.

Most saunas on the market are imported from China. Ours aren’t, and the difference is obvious.

Better construction. Hand-picked premium timber. Thicker, properly insulated walls that hold temperature instead of leaking heat. 12mm tempered glass, not flimsy 8mm. Quicker build and delivery times. We could go on.

We’re proud to support Thai craftsmanship, and prouder still of what we design and build.

With Sisu, you’re getting the finest quality sauna money can buy, built to last.
