This custom sauna was built for a family home inside a peaceful gated community in Nonthaburi. The 1.8 × 1.8 m footprint makes it a practical fit for a garden or poolside corner without overwhelming the outdoor space.
The cabin is constructed from teak, chosen for its natural durability and resistance to Thailand's humidity and heat. Teak's tight grain and natural oils mean it holds up beautifully outdoors over the long term, with very little maintenance required.
Heating is handled by a 9 kW sauna heater, well-matched to a room of this size and capable of bringing the cabin up to temperature quickly. This build also included an ice bath and a water chiller, giving the family a complete hot-and-cold contrast therapy setup right at home.
