What size heater do I need for my sauna?

Calculate the interior volume of your sauna room in cubic metres (length × width × height). As a general guide, allow approximately 1KW per 1.5–2 cubic metres. What are the benefits of an external controller?

External controllers mount outside the sauna room, allowing you to adjust temperature and timer settings without entering the hot space or opening the door. The digital display shows precise readings, and the controls remain cool and easy to operate. This is particularly convenient for checking remaining time or making adjustments mid-session.

Where should the external controller be mounted?

Mount the controller on the wall directly outside your sauna door at a comfortable height (approximately 1.2–1.5m from the floor). The cable connecting to the heater routes through a small hole in the sauna wall. Keep the controller away from moisture sources, such as showers.

Can I install this heater myself?

The heater requires professional electrical installation by a licensed electrician. While mounting the heater unit and controller is straightforward, connecting to your electrical supply must be done by a qualified professional to ensure safety and compliance with Thai electrical regulations.

How long does the heater take to warm up the sauna?

Expect 30–45 minutes to reach typical sauna temperatures of 80–90°C, depending on room size, insulation quality, and ambient temperature. Larger rooms or poorly insulated spaces may take longer.

Are the sauna stones included?

Yes. Each heater includes 18–22kg of premium sauna stones (shipped in 2 boxes). These volcanic stones are specifically selected for sauna use, able to withstand thermal shock from water contact without cracking.

What electrical supply do I need?

The heater operates on standard Thai 220–240V single-phase power. You will need a dedicated circuit with appropriate amperage (typically 30–40A, depending on heater size) and a correctly rated MCB. Your electrician will assess your electrical panel’s capacity.

Can I upgrade from an on-stove controller to an external controller later?

No. The heater and controller are designed as a matched system. If you want external control, choose this model from the start. Retrofitting is not recommended.

Can I use this heater for an outdoor sauna?

Yes, but the heater itself must be installed inside the sauna room, protected from direct weather exposure. For outdoor saunas, choose a heater size 20% larger than the room volume calculation suggests to compensate for heat loss. Mount the external controller in a sheltered location.

Is this heater suitable for commercial use?

This heater is designed for residential and light commercial use, such as small wellness studios, home gyms, or boutique spas. High-traffic commercial facilities that operate continuously may benefit from commercial-grade heaters with higher duty cycles.

What is the warranty?

Heaters include a 1-year manufacturer’s warranty covering defects in materials and workmanship. Warranty does not cover damage from improper installation, misuse, or normal wear of heating elements.
