Sometimes a Chinese Sauna Makes Sense
We build every sauna we sell ourselves — hand-built in Thailand from teak, cedar or pine. That is what Sisu Sauna is known for. But we talk to a lot of customers, and occasionally someone already has a specific model in mind: a unit they found on Alibaba, a style a friend imported, or a price point that a flat-pack Chinese sauna simply hits more easily than a custom build can.
We are not here to argue you out of that choice. If an imported Chinese sauna is genuinely the right fit for your situation, we would rather help you get it safely than watch you struggle through the import process alone.
What the Import Service Covers
Our service fee covers the work of organising the import on your behalf. In practice that includes:
Supplier coordination — you bring us the listing or we show you examples from suppliers we have dealt with before, and we handle all communication with the factory.
Freight arrangement — sea freight from China to Thailand, palletised or containerised depending on the size of the unit.
Customs clearance — we navigate Thai import paperwork, duties and port handling so you do not have to.
Delivery to your door — once cleared, the sauna is delivered to your site in Thailand.
Total time line — The delivery varies between 3 and 6 months in normal cases for import saunas. We help with communication when we can. Import ice baths etc take between 6-12 weeks normally. These time lines are rough estimates.
How Much Does It Cost?
Our service fee runs ฿15,000–฿35,000 per item, depending on what you are importing — its size, weight, complexity and how it needs to be shipped. On top of that, the cost of the sauna itself, international freight, Thai import duties and any applicable taxes are all separate and vary based on what you choose.
Before you commit to anything, we will send you a full proforma invoice that breaks down every line — our fee, the product cost, freight, duties and taxes — so you can see the complete landed cost clearly and decide with full information. There is no obligation until you are happy with the numbers.
How to Get Started
There are two ways this usually begins:
You already have a model in mind. Send us the link — an Alibaba listing, a product page, whatever you have — and we will review it, flag any questions about specs or compliance, and come back to you with a full proforma invoice showing the complete landed cost.
You want guidance first. If you just know you want a Chinese sauna but have not found one yet, we can share examples from suppliers we have encountered. You decide what appeals to you, and we take it from there.
One Important Thing to Understand: Warranty
This is genuinely important, and we want to be straight with you about it.
When you buy a Sisu Sauna, it comes with our structural warranty and we stand behind it directly. When we import a Chinese sauna on your behalf, we are acting as your import agent — the product warranty, normally 1 year, is entirely between you and the Chinese manufacturer, we will give that information to you, so you have it if it is ever needed. Sisu Sauna provides no warranty on imported Chinese units. We have no control over build quality, component choices, or how the supplier will respond if something goes wrong after delivery.
That is not us trying to scare you off — plenty of Chinese saunas are decent products for the price. It is simply the honest reality of buying at distance from an overseas factory, and we think you deserve to know it upfront rather than discover it later.
