About Sisu Sauna

Sisu Sauna was founded in 2015 by Patrick, a Finnish sauna builder with over 30 years of experience designing and constructing authentic saunas in both Finland and Thailand. What began as a passion project to bring genuine Finnish sauna culture to Southeast Asia has grown into Thailand’s premier custom sauna workshop, producing 5-6 bespoke saunas monthly from our dedicated facility in Surin.

Unlike importers or retailers selling pre-designed models (made in China), we specialise in custom-built saunas tailored to your exact specifications. Every sauna we create is individually designed by Patrick, who applies traditional Finnish construction methods refined over three decades. His deep understanding of both Nordic sauna principles and Thailand’s tropical climate ensures that each build performs beautifully in high heat and humidity.

Our workshop in Surin province allows us to maintain complete quality control throughout the manufacturing process. From initial timber selection through final assembly, Patrick oversees every detail. This hands-on approach, combined with robust galvanised steel frames and premium timber selection, enables us to offer an industry-leading 3-year structural warranty—significantly longer than the standard 1-year coverage most competitors provide.

Patrick then creates precise dimensional drawings with timber recommendations, heating calculations, and ventilation design optimised specifically for Thailand’s climate. Throughout the 3-4 week construction process, you’ll receive progress updates before our professional installation team completes the assembly at your location.

Beyond custom builds, we stock pre-made sauna models in popular configurations, offering faster delivery for clients with standard requirements. All saunas—custom and pre-made—include professional installation across Thailand, comprehensive operation training, and the accessories needed for immediate use: heater, bucket, ladle, thermometer, sand timer, and lighting.

Our commitment to authenticity extends beyond construction methods. Patrick lives in Thailand with his Thai wife, understanding both Finnish sauna traditions and local building practices. This unique perspective, combined with our bilingual team fluent in Finnish, Thai, and English, ensures clear communication and cultural understanding throughout your project.
